Strong knowledge of automation systems and software, including PLCs and SCADA. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Creo Parametric. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Mission of the Role

Join our Advanced Packaging team at ASM and spearhead the design and development of next-generation semiconductor process equipment. You will be instrumental in shaping system architecture, driving automation strategies, and collaborating across various functions to deliver groundbreaking solutions while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of semiconductor vacuum systems, focusing on equipment selection, process controls, and automation integration.
  • Develop and execute automation strategies leveraging PLCs, SCADA, and related tools to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, operations, and quality to align on project goals and deliverables.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment and automation systems, employing root cause analysis to resolve issues effectively.
  • Manage BOM release and maintenance, ensuring precise documentation and reporting for stakeholders.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Apply engineering principles and research data to innovate designs for semiconductor systems and products.
  • Conduct engineering calculations addressing structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics challenges.
  • Create and modify CAD models and detailed drawings utilizing Creo Parametric for components and assemblies.
  • Prepare thorough design documentation for the manufacturing and testing of prototypes and production products.
