Role Overview

Join our team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in designing cutting-edge hardware that harnesses the power of light. You will be responsible for the mechanical architecture of photonic subassemblies, ensuring precision and reliability in our advanced optical interconnect assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop opto-mechanical assemblies such as waveguide coupling structures and precision alignment fixtures.

  • Conduct tolerance chain analysis to maintain optical alignment budgets, considering thermal variations and long-term stability.

  • Select and evaluate optical-grade materials, ensuring compatibility with thermal and manufacturing processes.

  • Lead the thermal-mechanical co-design for photonic subassemblies, focusing on heatsink designs for high-performance components.

  • Create and maintain GD&T drawings and engineering specifications for optical-grade components.

  • Collaborate closely with optical, process, and reliability engineers to achieve optimal mechanical and optical outcomes.
