Key Responsibilities:Work closely with the mechanical engineering team to develop concepts, strategies, construction documents, and engineering reports for various projects including renovations, expansions, and new constructions. Provide mechanical leadership on large-scale multi-discipline design initiatives involving HVAC, plumbing, process piping systems, and fire protection. Interact directly with clients to conduct design analyses, perform cost-benefit evaluations, and communicate findings effectively to assist in decision-making. Oversee the mechanical project team when applicable, ensuring project objectives and quality standards are met. Manage the financial performance and scheduling of mechanical projects. Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business development efforts. Participate in proposal writing to pursue new business opportunities. Qualifications:10+ years of experience with a reputable architectural/engineering services firm is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Able to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks concurrently. Virginia Professional Engineer’s License is preferred. Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD is preferred.
