What we look for: Proven experience in hiring and managing field or technical teams from the ground up at high-growth speeds. 8+ years in senior pre-sales or post-sales roles, contributing to the development of a successful team of professionals in Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS. Possess a Player/Coach mentality, comfortable both leading and actively participating in projects with partners for our mutual customers. Strong knowledge and enthusiasm for data-driven decision-making, AI, and Cloud software models. Exceptional at implementing processes for technical field members to enhance efficiency. Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field is required; a Master's degree is desirable. Tech-savvy with a keen understanding of industry trends and solutions.

The Senior Manager of Field Engineering (Specialist) will spearhead a dynamic team of Partner Solution Architects. In this pivotal role, you will enhance our consulting and Systems Integrator (SI) partner development initiatives by offering technical expertise that spans pre-sales teams and their data analytics delivery units. Your extensive experience and influential presence will accelerate Customer Success and Databricks DBU consumption through a robust global partner ecosystem. You will mentor and amplify your team's effectiveness, adept at articulating complex, outcome-driven results that foster consumption and assist our joint customers in achieving their goals.

The impact you will have:

  • You will cultivate and grow a team of Partner Solutions Architects within a rapidly expanding organization.
  • Achieve your OKRs by ensuring our partners develop a comprehensive technical perspective to implement lakehouse architecture across a diverse range of clients, identify impactful business offerings, and facilitate the integration of the Databricks platform into partner solutions. This will position partners as trusted advisors with strong capabilities and Databricks practices.
  • Lead your team to empower partners in expanding their practices by aligning priorities with partner sales and alliances, along with other Databricks technical functions (Specialist, Professional Services, and Product).
  • Forge relationships across the organization to drive success for both partners and customers.
  • Foster a collaborative culture within a hyper-growth team that embodies and upholds Databricks' core values.
  • Enhance Customer Success and DBU consumption through consulting partners.
  • Exhibit a profound understanding of consulting services business needs, revenue potential, escalation management, and project-portfolio management as it relates to enterprise data transformation initiatives.
