About the Role

We are looking for an accomplished Senior Manager of Collections who will take full responsibility for the collections function within a regulated EU neobank. This role will oversee our established in-house collections setup, enhance its effectiveness, and spearhead the transition to a strategically outsourced model. Post-outsourcing, you will serve as the Relationship Manager (RM) for our chosen providers, ensuring optimal performance, adherence to compliance, and alignment with regulatory standards.

This position can be based in either Ioannina or Athens.

Key Responsibilities

1. In-House Collections Oversight

  • Take charge of the current in-house collections operations, focusing on performance optimization, control measures, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that our policies and procedures meet EU consumer protection laws, conduct risk regulations, and data protection standards.
  • Track essential collections KPIs (like roll rates, cure rates, recoveries, and complaints) and implement targeted enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Customer Operations teams.

2. Operating Model Management

  • Establish the desired operating model for outsourced collections, outlining scope, segmentation, and governance frameworks.
  • Lead the complete process of outsourcing collections.
  • Guarantee full compliance with EU regulations regarding critical outsourcing.

3. Vendor Governance & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary RM for outsourced collections providers.
  • Define, negotiate, and monitor SLAs, KPIs, quality metrics, and standards for customer conduct.
  • Lead performance evaluations, manage escalations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and third-party risk management frameworks.

 

4. Regulatory & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a senior contact point for auditors and internal control functions regarding collections and outsourcing issues.
  • Assist in regulatory reviews, audits, and inspections related to collections operations.
  • Contribute to policy revisions and participate in risk governance committees.
