The Senior Manager / Deputy General Manager of Content Writing & Communications will be instrumental in defining and amplifying the organization’s narrative. Reporting directly to the Chief Communications Officer, this role focuses on producing persuasive speeches, thought-provoking opinion pieces, and strategic communication materials that bolster leadership visibility and enhance organizational credibility, effectively shaping stakeholder perceptions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic Content Development:
- Craft, edit, and polish a variety of high-impact content for corporate websites, brochures, audio-visual scripts, speeches, opinion pieces, white papers, corporate background notes, and media statements.
- Develop compelling narratives that convey the organization’s stance on significant geopolitical, economic, and industry matters.
- Create speaking points, Q&A responses, and briefing notes for leadership’s participation in panels, media interviews, and conferences.
- Ensure all content across various platforms maintains alignment with brand and leadership positioning in terms of tone, structure, and clarity.
- Assist in crisis communication with carefully articulated holding statements and stakeholder messaging.
Media & Thought Leadership Engagement:
- Compose press releases, media advisories, and official statements that adhere to the organization’s messaging standards.
- Develop comprehensive executive profiles and spokesperson briefs for external engagements.
- Participate in briefings and external meetings to extract key insights and translate them into polished, publication-ready content.
- Collaborate with PR agencies, corporate communication teams, and media partners to ensure consistent and accurate messaging across all external communication platforms.
Research, Analysis & Insight Generation:
- Conduct thorough research to support content development grounded in data and evidence.
- Analyze industry reports, policy papers, and market trends to create insightful summaries and discussion documents.
- Simplify complex information into clear and understandable messages for speeches, reports, and updates.
- Stay updated on geopolitical and economic developments to ensure content remains relevant and contextually rich.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Editorial Excellence:
- Work closely with senior leadership and communications teams to align content with strategic priorities.
- Manage multiple projects while being sensitive to tone, deadlines, and confidentiality.
- Maintain high editorial standards, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency in all written outputs.
Environment, Social & Governance:
- Advocate for the responsible use of natural resources.
- Comply with the organization’s environmental, health, and safety policies and objectives.
