About the job
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the entire process of training and deploying comprehensive Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models for outdoor autonomy. You will be responsible for developing models that empower various vehicles—from our Amiga platform to heavy machinery—to navigate, act, and adapt effectively in unstructured outdoor environments, utilizing raw sensor inputs such as cameras, IMU, GPS, and LiDAR. With our extensive dataset of heavy equipment operations collected from field deployments, we are looking for individuals capable of harnessing vast real-world data along with targeted data collection to train a robust VLA model. This high-impact role encompasses all aspects from data pipelines and model architecture to real-world deployment on edge hardware.
What You'll Do
- Design, train, and refine VLA and other learned behavior policy architectures aimed at vehicle control in diverse outdoor settings.
- Establish and uphold robust data pipelines—including ingestion, curation, labeling, and versioning—to facilitate reproducible, high-quality training at scale.
- Create evaluation frameworks encompassing offline metrics, simulation-based testing, and real-world field validation loops.
