About the job

Shape the Future with Path Robotics

At Path Robotics, we are pioneering the realm of embodied intelligence. Our cutting-edge AI systems empower robots to learn, adapt, and execute tasks in real-world environments, thereby addressing the skilled labor shortage and revolutionizing various industries. We transcend conventional methodologies by merging perception, reasoning, and control, resulting in AI that is aware of risks, dependable, and consistently enhances its performance through practical application.

Every day, we tackle significant challenges, and our team—comprising intelligent, humble, and motivated individuals—collaborates to turn the seemingly impossible into reality.

In the manufacturing sector, exceptional performance, reliability, and adaptability are paramount. Processes such as welding entail rapid, intricate, and poorly understood physics that traditional simulators often fail to accurately replicate, particularly when faced with the complexities of real-world conditions.

Our aim is to develop intelligent robotic systems that learn directly from data through the integration of neural world models and reinforcement learning. We strive to empower robots to learn, predict, and plan within intricate manufacturing settings by either replacing or enhancing classical physics simulators with fast, high-fidelity learned alternatives.

We are on the lookout for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead the creation of a neural welding simulator—an advanced world model that effectively captures the visual and physical dynamics of welding processes, enabling extensive reinforcement learning training. This pivotal position resides at the crossroads of generative modeling, robotics, and applied physics. It is inherently research-focused while still being rooted in practical production realities.

This opportunity can be based at our Columbus, Ohio headquarters or be remote.
