About the job

Elk Valley Resources is seeking a Senior Lead, Training and Development based in Elkford, BC. This role shapes the direction of training programs at the Greenhills Operation, reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager. The Senior Lead guides a team of Training Coordinators in Mine Operations, Maintenance, and Processing, with a focus on building effective, standardized training systems that support both operational and safety goals.

Role overview

This position manages the strategic coordination of training activities, ensuring consistency and quality across departments. The Senior Lead works closely with other training professionals within EVR to implement company-wide standards and best practices. Acting as a key connection between site teams and the broader organization, this role helps ensure training supports both productivity and employee development.

What you will do

  • Guide and support Training Coordinators in Mine Operations, Maintenance, and Processing
  • Develop and improve competency-based training programs with an emphasis on safety, productivity, and employee growth
  • Align training systems with operational requirements and safety standards
  • Collaborate with the EVR training team to implement standards and best practices across the company
  • Promote consistent training results at all locations
  • Serve as a liaison between site teams and the larger organization
