LaBella Associates is on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join our Albany team. This full-time position will focus on engaging with both public and private sector clients, helping to implement LaBella's strategic objectives in the Eastern Region. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting and expanding our Landscape Architecture brand not only within the Capital District but also in collaboration with our teams in Rochester, NY, Charlotte, NC, and Chattanooga, TN.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue opportunities by targeting potential clients and partnering with teams for market-driven initiatives.
- Engage in business planning alongside the Discipline Leader.
- Contribute to growth strategies for urban design services.
- Actively participate in enhancing LaBella's branding efforts within Landscape Architecture.
- Lead the preparation and submission of critical proposals.
Management:
- Build and nurture relationships with key clients.
- Collaborate with team members, regional leaders, and discipline leaders to effectively manage and direct project work.
- Conduct regular meetings with the Landscape Architecture Discipline Leader to ensure alignment and progress.
- Monitor project schedules, financial objectives, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with Discipline Leaders to build a robust project backlog, creating opportunities for future hires.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to junior staff.
Production:
- Act as a client and/or project manager for various single and multi-discipline projects.
- Serve as the technical lead for significant landscape architecture projects.
- Support the integration of Landscape Architecture services with planning and architecture disciplines.
- Provide project support to existing landscape architects both in Albany and other locations.
- Conduct design peer reviews for Civil Division projects as necessary.
- Achieve target utilization goals set by the Discipline Leader.
