Position: Senior Java Developer with Kafka Expertise
Location: San Francisco, CA
Contract Duration: 6-12 Months

Essential Requirements:
- Over 8 years of experience in backend Java development coupled with strong skills in data structures, design principles, and scalability.
- Proficient in NoSQL databases, with a preference for Cassandra or Couchbase.
- Significant experience with Kafka is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain high-visibility consumer-facing features.
- Develop real-time, efficient, and highly scalable APIs for the PlayStation Network portfolio.
- Create comprehensive design and development documentation.
- Work independently under tight deadlines and adapt to changing requirements.
- Contribute to building a world-class team focused on innovation in e-commerce, network advertising, and immersive experiences.
- Mentor junior team members while demonstrating a strong sense of end-to-end ownership.
- Follow key principles for optimal performance, scalability, and resilience in coding and design.
- Address significant data challenges using cutting-edge open-source technologies.
Additional Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience developing adtech platforms.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, Rust, Python, Scala, or Go.
- Experience with Kafka and other real-time stream analysis platforms like Spark, Hadoop, or Storm.
