This high-ownership position allows you to design systems, make significant technical choices, and directly influence how millions of users interact with Known.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and launch mobile applications using React Native that are fast, enjoyable, and user-friendly, covering everything from onboarding processes to real-time messaging and match exploration.Create and uphold backend services utilizing Node.js/TypeScript, including RESTful APIs, WebSocket connections for real-time chatting, and WebRTC integrations for audio and video functionalities.Integrate third-party solutions such as OpenAI/Anthropic LLMs, Apple/Google Pay, reservation systems, and SMS/push notifications to provide seamless, automated interactions.Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to present model outputs—like compatibility scores, tailored recommendations, and conversational agents—through intuitive user interfaces and efficient APIs.Manage infrastructure and deployments on contemporary cloud platforms, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability as the user base expands.Implement analytics and monitoring to evaluate user engagement, conversion pathways, and overall product health in real-time.Requirements3–5 years of experience in building production-level fullstack or mobile applications, preferably within consumer products or startup environments.Proficient in TypeScript, React, React Native, and Node.js.Demonstrated experience in designing and optimizing RESTful APIs with a focus on performance, security, and maintainability.Solid understanding of Postgres—comfortable with data modeling, query optimization, indexing, and database performance.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Vercel) for hosting and deployment.
