As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining intricate software systems, taking on a leadership role within your team. Your primary focus will be to create scalable and efficient architectures, ensuring that our software satisfies both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, security, and maintainability.

In this role, you will write high-quality, scalable, and efficient code while ensuring it meets the business and technical specifications. You'll also review and enhance existing code, conduct rigorous testing, and solve complex issues to enhance system performance and reliability. Furthermore, you will mentor junior developers, nurturing a culture of continuous learning and adherence to best practices in coding, architecture, and software development methods. Collaboration with cross-functional teams—including product managers, designers, and quality assurance professionals—is essential to align technical solutions with our business objectives. Strong communication skills, adept problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently while leading projects are key to your success.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Engineering.


Potential projects you will engage in include:

  • Enhancing insurance processes through our marketing funnels by implementing ordering changes, micro-optimizations, and A/B testing for auto, home, life, Medicare, and travel insurance flows.

  • Designing and executing secure, scalable back-end integrations with third-party platforms to promote conversions and user engagement.

  • Leading the development of impactful insurance experiences, including organic SEO pages that drive significant traffic and user engagement across various insurance products (auto, home, life, Medicare, U65 health, travel, and pet).

  • Engaging directly with data ingestion pipelines and writing efficient SQL queries.
