Role overview This Senior Software Engineer position is fully remote within the USA. The role centers on building and expanding insurance products for global markets, driving the technical roadmap, and supporting Airbnb’s mission to deliver secure, reliable experiences. What you will do Lead significant projects as a technical owner, guiding teams through ambiguity to deliver strong solutions. Design and build infrastructure, applications, and tools for distributed systems and large-scale storage. Act as a player/coach, fostering team growth and maintaining high standards for code quality and operational excellence. Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and data engineering teams to ensure project success. Scale distributed applications in high-availability environments and make architectural decisions using design patterns. Contribute to greenfield projects and execute on a multi-year platform roadmap. Drive business growth by introducing new technologies, including advanced use of large language models (LLM).
