Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced Senior Fire and Egress Modeling Engineer to become an integral part of our innovative team. The selected candidate will lead fire and egress modeling projects across various structures, including high-rise buildings, industrial facilities, and transportation hubs. This role necessitates a robust understanding of fire dynamics, egress analysis, and computational modeling techniques, along with additional responsibilities aligned with Jensen Hughes’ service offerings.
Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced computational tools to develop precise fire and egress models, ensuring reliability in predicting fire behavior and occupant evacuation patterns.
- Implement performance-based design principles to evaluate fire and life safety strategies, which include smoke control systems, evacuation plans, and structural fire protection measures.
- Analyze and apply relevant building and fire codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NFPA, IBC, ASCE) to confirm compliance with applicable requirements.
- Conduct qualitative risk assessments to evaluate the potential impact of fire events on building occupants and property.
