Why Hover Wants You
We are in search of a Senior Engineering Manager to spearhead our Capture team, an essential unit at the heart of our 3D property scanning technology. The Capture team is responsible for two fundamental experiences that drive every scan:
- The guided mobile capture workflow utilized by customers to scan properties and gather high-quality data for our 3D reconstruction pipeline.
- Our external Capture SDK, which allows enterprise clients to integrate Hover’s capturing technology directly into their own iOS and Android applications.
This team operates across native iOS and Android platforms, interfaces with our React Native application, and directly influences scan quality, user success, and enterprise adoption. In this pivotal role, you will lead a high-impact team ensuring that data capture with Hover is intuitive, reliable, and scalable for both end-users and enterprise developers. Since capture serves as the entry point to our system, your team’s work will significantly affect the overall performance of our platform, from scan completion to reconstruction quality to customer trust.
Your Contributions
In this position, you will lead and expand a high-impact mobile engineering team responsible for both Hover’s end-user capture experience and our enterprise Capture SDK across iOS and Android. You will oversee the capture experience from start to finish, collaborating closely with Product and Design to create an intuitive, guided scanning workflow that enables users to accurately capture property data while continuously enhancing completion rates and scan quality through metrics and user insights. Additionally, you will guide the evolution of Hover’s external Capture SDK platform, establishing robust practices for API lifecycle management, versioning, documentation, and release processes, while partnering with customer-facing teams to support integration efforts.
