Qualifications

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering is mandatory; a Master's or PhD in an Engineering discipline is highly advantageous. A minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-physics simulation. Proficient in numerical modeling and dynamic simulation of complex physical systems, particularly in aerospace and mechanical engineering. Extensive experience developing vehicle simulations using Simulink; proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and SimScape is preferred. Experience with model testing, linearization, and refinement in continuous integration environments. Exceptional technical, written, and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced design environment. Preferred Qualifications:A strong passion for creating physical models that accurately reflect bench and flight test data. Experience in modeling electric or hybrid powertrains. Familiarity with numerical optimization techniques. Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 33 and RTCA DO-311A. Experience utilizing simulation for certification credits. Proficiency in applying system identification techniques to aircraft or rotorcraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced flight simulation physics models for eVTOL aircraft.
  • Conduct vehicle-level trade studies to inform design decisions.
  • Enhance the fidelity of system electrical, thermal, and performance models using data from lab and flight tests to facilitate vehicle certification.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external suppliers to integrate their systems into our comprehensive vehicle simulation framework.
  • Assist in design and analysis activities to ensure compliance with business and regulatory requirements at a high confidence level.
