- Deliver expert technical support and innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency of the Production and Maintenance teams regarding instrument-related challenges.
- Collaborate proactively with both teams to identify strategies for minimizing instrument maintenance costs while maximizing availability and operational functionality.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including government agencies, to ensure compliance with standards related to gas pipeline networks and electrical power grids, as well as instrument and metering interfaces.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date maintenance procedures for all instrumentation, PLCs, Fire & Gas systems, Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems, metering, CCTV, and security equipment.
- Perform thorough root cause analyses on instrument-related incidents and propose effective preventive and corrective measures to avert future occurrences.
- Lead Management of Change (MOCs) projects aimed at improving instrument reliability and resolving operational issues from engineering through to commissioning.
- Conduct verification, inspection, testing, and reporting on all electrical and instrument equipment used for maintenance, ensuring compliance with hazardous area certification requirements.
- Contribute to the execution of maintenance activities and significant equipment turnarounds within the terminal.
- Oversee the functional safety lifecycle of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) within the terminal.
- Support facility expansion projects by ensuring integrity and seamless integration with existing plant operations, capturing all potential optimization opportunities.
- Participate in emergency response initiatives and assume specific roles and responsibilities as required.
