Role overview

This Senior Electronics Technician position is hands-on and emphasizes careful craftsmanship. The role suits someone who takes pride in precision and wants to see their work directly impact medical technology. Practical experience matters more than formal degrees for this position.

Key responsibilities

  • Solder and rework printed circuit boards (PCBs), including 0201 discretes and fine-pitch BGAs, using magnification tools
  • Modify boards, troubleshoot issues, and support rapid design changes
  • Follow detailed work instructions, schematics, and testing protocols accurately
  • Test both incoming and assembled hardware, recording results clearly
  • Inspect incoming hardware to ensure quality standards are met
  • Help organize and maintain the lab, including equipment upkeep and basic management tasks
  • Calibrate and maintain test equipment, and coordinate with outside vendors as needed
  • Work closely with engineers to solve problems and improve designs

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with fine-pitch soldering and PCB rework
  • Comfort working under magnification with small, fragile components
