Your role will involve:

Overseeing the Design Process

  • Direct Design Management projects both within the UK and internationally.
  • Administer the AECOM financial processes and oversee invoicing.
  • Evaluate team outputs before distribution to ensure they meet quality standards and contractual requirements.

Sub-consultant Management

  • Develop a responsibility matrix to clarify sub-consultant obligations for each project scope.
  • Compose and disseminate back-to-back contracts with sub-consultants to ensure all project areas are covered.
  • Oversee updates to sub-consultant contracts and finalize documentation.
  • Prepare and revise cash flow forecasts.
  • Establish and monitor procedures for sub-consultant invoice submissions.
  • Track the status of all sub-consultant invoices and compile a monthly financial report.

Development and Implementation of Design Management Procedures, including:

  • Defining roles and responsibilities/Scope Delineation
  • Creating and monitoring design programs
  • Managing deliverables and outputs
  • Ensuring design quality
  • Overseeing design budgets and changes
  • Coordinating project meetings and design workshops
  • Facilitating design coordination

Supporting the Management of the Design Management Team

  • Achieve AECOM PM accreditation while actively managing design projects in accordance with AECOM's financial systems and policies.
  • Lead and support Design Management initiatives across the UK and beyond as appropriate.
  • Mentor and assist in the development of junior Design Management team members through training and performance reviews.
  • Review outputs from junior team members to ensure adherence to quality and contractual standards.
  • Provide support to Design Management leadership as necessary.
