Your Core Responsibilities Develop and maintain high-performance numerical algorithms for pricing and risk management across diverse financial products. Design and enhance models that accurately reflect instrument value and risk under real-world scenarios. Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and developers globally to ensure model outputs are precise, interpretable, and consistent with market dynamics. Take ownership of key components within IMC’s pricing library, utilized by all desks worldwide. Write dependable, scalable, and maintainable code in C++ and Java. Your Skills and Experience A minimum of 5 years of experience in a trading or financial setting, specifically focusing on pricing models or related infrastructure. In-depth understanding of options pricing theory and derivatives modeling. Educational background in mathematics, computer science, or related quantitative fields. Expertise in C++ and/or Java, emphasizing production-quality code and scalability. Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, particularly with quants, traders, and other technical professionals. Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a talent for translating complex ideas into effective systems. Familiarity with implementing numerical algorithms for solving Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) is highly preferred. Knowledge of numerical analysis, including error propagation and stability analysis, is advantageous.

Our Pricing and Risk (PAR) software development team is at the forefront of creating the essential infrastructure for pricing a wide array of asset classes and managing risk across global trading desks. The systems you will work on are robust, operating on thousands of servers, and are integral to our trading operations.

In this role, you will engage in both quantitative modeling and engineering, contributing to the development and maintenance of systems and libraries that inform real-time decisions across the firm. The environment is highly technical, collaborative, and pivotal for our day-to-day trading activities.
