Qualifications
Design and develop ETL and reporting processes using SSIS/SSRS tools adhering to established enterprise standards. Engage with business units to gather requirements and perform iterative data analysis in a fast-paced agile environment. Architect SQL Server database structures and objects, optimize SQL queries for performance, and monitor latencies during batch processes. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Design and develop reports and flat file extracts for business users and external vendors. Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information needs. Discover and evaluate new process improvement opportunities. The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of experience as a data warehouse developer or ETL specialist, demonstrating a deep understanding of relational databases and solid experience working with data models, database design, and performance tuning techniques. Experience with voluminous databases, creating database objects, and optimizing complex SQL queries for performance is essential. Familiarity with ETL and reporting tools such as SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Informatica, and Business Objects is required. Strong analytical thinking skills are vital for success in this role, as you will be expected to comprehend the business context before applying your technical expertise. Additionally, you should be adept at collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of documentation and code versioning is advantageous, along with experience using enterprise automation tools. A BS degree in Computer Science or relevant experience may substitute for formal education in exceptional cases. Complementary skills in Java programming, Python, or experience with other databases such as Oracle, Netezza, MongoDB, or Teradata will be considered a significant advantage.
