Qualifications
The Senior Data Scientist (Product) will: Serve as the primary data partner for AoPS Product teams, aiding in product strategy, roadmap decisions, and feature assessment. Proactively discover opportunities, risks, and trends in product data, providing insights without needing explicit requests. Frame vague product and business challenges, converting product objectives into testable hypotheses, success metrics, and analytic strategies. Define, manage, and refine product metrics, including key performance indicators and input drivers, ensuring alignment across teams. Design and evaluate experiments (e.g., A/B tests, feature rollouts) to assess the impact of product modifications. Create analytics data models and streamlined pipelines to facilitate product analytics and reporting. Utilize SQL and Python for analysis, model development, and generation of decision-ready insights. Employ statistical and machine learning methodologies as appropriate, demonstrating sound judgment regarding rigor, speed, and trade-offs. Clearly communicate findings, guiding product prioritization and direction with data-driven recommendations, reports, and dashboards. Establish and advocate for best practices in product analytics, experimentation, and metric integrity, ensuring consistent event tracking, data quality, and measurement standards organization-wide.
