We are on the lookout for a Senior Data Scientist to join our London team, with a hybrid work model requiring 3 days in the office. In this capacity, you will empower high-quality, human-led decision-making to maximize our impact.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Scientist at Deliveroo, your primary objective will be to optimize business impact within one of our product domains. A significant aspect of your role will involve designing, executing, and interpreting experiments, along with utilizing causal inference to inform product decisions in complex real-world environments.
You will delve deeper than merely answering whether a feature was successful; your focus will be on uncovering the genuine impact, understanding the reasons behind the outcomes, and how results can be applied across various users, markets, and timelines.

Strategic Insights through Experimentation: Spearheading the design of both straightforward and intricate experiments, proactively translating insights into strategic initiatives.
Expertise in Causal Inference: Employing sophisticated techniques to assess long-term and varied treatment effects.
Deriving Trustworthy Conclusions: Navigating settings with selection bias or imperfect randomization.
Generating In-depth Product Insights: Identifying fundamental factors influencing experiment performance, understanding why features thrive, and how results can be generalized across different users, markets, and timelines.
Utilizing insights from previous experiments to enhance future decision-making.
Your Qualifications
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and interpreting A/B experiments within production environments.
Robust understanding of causal inference concepts.
Capacity to apply statistical reasoning to complex real-world product challenges.
