Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Senior Data Engineer to develop and sustain the data pipelines that fuel our cloud and AI solutions. You will manage large datasets, ensuring they are effectively processed and enriched for downstream applications, with a strong emphasis on reliability, scalability, and performance in a cloud-native context.
As a Senior Data Engineer at qodea, you will:
- Create and oversee batch and real-time data pipelines to process product and consumer data.
- Execute data transformations for deduplication, entity resolution, and feature engineering.
- Enhance pipeline performance and guarantee high availability within GCP environments.
- Maintain metadata layers and embeddings for machine learning and personalization services.
- Ensure data quality through robust validation rules and automated monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with machine learning engineers to supply high-quality data for model training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
- Expertise in BigQuery, SQL, and dbt for managing substantial datasets.
- Familiarity with various data structures and formats.
- A detail-oriented approach to data lifecycle management and schema design.
- Experience with streaming technologies such as Pub/Sub or Kafka.
Additional Qualities:
- Familiarity with MLOps principles and model deployment.
- Experience in sectors such as fintech or e-commerce is a plus.
