Successful candidates typically possess:7+ years of experience with a diverse range of on-premises and cloud data management, integration, visualization, and analytics technologies. Expertise in designing and implementing modern data architectures, including proficiency in cloud services such as AWS, Azure, GCP, real-time data distribution tools (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, DataFlow, Airflow), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, HBase, CosmosDB), and modern data warehousing solutions like Snowflake and DataBricks. Advanced skills in end-to-end data architecture solutions, including ingestion, storage, and relational modeling using industry-standard languages such as SQL and Python. A strategic mindset with the capability to align architectural recommendations with business needs and client culture. The ability to evaluate traditional and modern data architectural components based on specific business requirements.

Key responsibilities for the Senior Data Architect role include:

  • Evaluating and championing data management technologies and practices to eliminate discrepancies between existing capabilities and targeted future states.
  • Developing and executing strategic plans that enhance data integration, quality, and delivery, aligning with business initiatives and roadmaps.
  • Articulating architectural trade-offs among various solution options and recommending optimal solutions while ensuring compliance with technical requirements.
  • Leading teams of data engineers and technical professionals through design and implementation phases, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Providing valuable insights to executive stakeholders and development teams to ensure that data architecture decisions enhance the overall value of client data.
  • Ensuring that solutions provide tangible business value and align with client strategic goals.
  • Communicating effectively with non-technical executives about the benefits of modern enterprise-level data solutions.
  • Driving innovative technology solutions by offering thought leadership on emerging trends.
  • Sharing project insights and outcomes with colleagues to improve future project delivery.
  • Leading initiatives within the Data & Analytics practice area to foster talent development and enhance capabilities.
  • Collaborating with the CapTech business development team to showcase technical competencies and devise proposed solutions and work plans.
