As the Senior Creative Writer at Art of Problem Solving (AoPS), you will collaborate closely with the Creative Lead to infuse the essence of AoPS into engaging creative output that resonates with our exceptional curriculum. Your focus will be on organic communication across various channels, ensuring that your clarity and ingenuity reflect the core values of AoPS—clever, straightforward, and solution-oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transform strategic briefs into innovative creative concepts and persuasive messaging frameworks for major campaigns that highlight the joy of real mathematical challenges.
- Produce captivating copy that embodies the AoPS voice across all platforms, including social media, web content, video scripts, campus materials, and event experiences.
- Collaborate with external agencies to enhance creative capabilities while preserving brand integrity and high creative standards.
- Independently manage 90% of creative projects while providing strategic creative support to other departments as necessary.
- Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints while pushing creative boundaries that distinguish AoPS as a challenger brand.
- Introduce fresh perspectives that elevate AoPS's creative output beyond conventional educational marketing, reflecting the quality found in our curriculum.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A genuine passion for the AoPS mission.
- 5–7 years of copywriting and campaign experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to craft beautiful writing.
- Expertise in social content creation, understanding what drives engagement, shares, and actions.
- Experience in developing integrated creative campaigns from inception to execution.
- A background working with or for external creative agencies and managing creative partnerships.
- A portfolio showcasing the ability to make complex or technical subjects both engaging and accessible.
- A collaborative working approach with the capacity to influence creative direction without direct authority.
