About the Role
The Senior Cost Performance Analyst at HelloFresh in Toronto reports to the Associate Director of Supply Chain Data & Analytics. This role focuses on improving procurement performance metrics to support operational efficiency across HelloFresh’s brands. The position leads reporting and automation projects spanning Planning, Logistics, Culinary, Product, Procurement, and Finance.
Collaboration with stakeholders is central: identifying opportunities for new reports or automation, defining project requirements, and designing solutions. The analyst manages project execution and governance, seeks out process improvements, and works with procurement and sourcing teams to evaluate and prioritize cost management enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly cost of goods sold (COGS) reports for HelloFresh, Chefs Plate, and Factor.
- Analyze operational cost results at period end, explain variances, and highlight non-compliance with established controls and processes.
- Lead projects to onboard and launch new systems, from concept through scope and execution.
- Support financial budgeting and planning, serving as the subject matter expert on COGS and procurement spending.
- Work with stakeholders to improve reporting capabilities by identifying process and knowledge gaps.
- Develop tools, dashboards, and data-driven processes to help operational teams make informed decisions.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to assess organizational performance, identify gaps, and prioritize improvements.
- Create project plans and governance frameworks to track progress and ensure stakeholder involvement.
- Promote data quality, governance, and a product-focused mindset.
- Take on additional duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills, able to explain complex topics to business stakeholders.
- Experience working with stakeholders to deliver automation and reporting solutions.
- Three to five years in a business analysis role, ideally within product-oriented industries.
- Advanced skills with Google and Microsoft office tools, especially Google Sheets and Excel.
- Ability to query data from relational databases using SQL.
