Role overview
The Senior Controls Engineer leads the design and optimization of precision motion control systems for laser-based drone targeting. This position requires a strong background in robotics control engineering, with a focus on hands-on development and rapid prototyping. The work centers on translating advanced control models into real-world hardware and refining system performance through iterative testing.
What you will do
- Design, implement, and tune precision pointing and tracking control systems
- Convert control models into functional hardware solutions
- Evaluate system performance and refine control loops as needed
- Manage state estimation and integrate closed-loop tracking systems
- Utilize Bode plots and step response analysis to inform control strategies
