About the Team
The Cloud Performance Engineering team is dedicated to developing the cloud-native ClickHouse Cloud Platform, revolutionizing the OLAP landscape. We seek outstanding performance engineers with a robust background in distributed databases, performance analysis, benchmarking, and test automation. The ideal candidate is a distributed systems performance engineer eager to make a substantial impact on our scalable, high-performance, serverless ClickHouse Cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct benchmarking, analyze database performance, and optimize capacity sizing.
- Diagnose and resolve application and server errors efficiently.
- Suggest configuration enhancements to eliminate performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate closely with the ClickHouse core development, cloud, and security teams to enhance ClickHouse Cloud’s performance.
- Plan and implement chaos engineering initiatives across engineering teams, aligned with internal priorities.
- Develop and manage tools for systematic chaos experiments and assess their impact.
- Deepen your understanding of large-scale distributed systems while solving complex challenges.
- Examine software resilience, operations, and delivery challenges.
- Enhance our backend systems to incorporate Chaos Engineering practices.
- Monitor active systems and identify innovative disruption strategies.
