Role overview
The Senior Backend Engineer, Platform, joins a team responsible for building and maintaining the foundational systems that power Wheely’s engineering organization. This group develops shared tools, manages significant migrations (such as moving away from a Ruby monolith), and works to strengthen the company’s infrastructure. The team emphasizes lightweight frameworks and clean, maintainable code, relying on practices like Test-Driven Development (TDD), Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and continuous integration and delivery.
