About the Role
We are on the lookout for a Senior Backend Engineer to play a pivotal role in constructing FLORA's platform infrastructure. You will be instrumental in enhancing our database systems, generation infrastructure, observability, and services that ensure a seamless real-time creative experience at scale.
As part of a team of proficient full-stack engineers, we seek someone with profound backend expertise to tackle our most complex systems challenges. You will take charge of intricate projects, work closely with engineering leadership to make architecture decisions, and grow alongside the backend team as we expand.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Developing generation orchestration infrastructure for substantial scalability
Enhancing observability across our infrastructure to minimize failure rates and identify issues proactively
Optimizing our database architecture—designing schemas, formulating index strategies, and managing migrations as we grow
Collaborating on architectural decisions to facilitate new feature integration
Partnering with the CTO, Product Engineering, and Intelligence Engineering teams to ensure a stable, high-performance foundation for features utilized by all clients
We Are Seeking Individuals Who Possess:
5+ years of experience in developing robust backend systems, with a track record of operating services at significant scale
3+ years of extensive TypeScript experience—you are passionate about type safety, error management, and code structure
Demonstrated capability to transform ambiguous challenges into well-structured solutions
Experience with queue-based architectures, including job scheduling, orchestration, and fault tolerance
Strong instincts for observability—you have a history of instrumenting systems, creating dashboards, and utilizing data to enhance reliability
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset towards technical decision-making
Exceptional Candidates May Also Have:
Experience with cloud services and container orchestration platforms like AWS or Kubernetes.
