RequirementsTo thrive in this role, you should possess:A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field. Over 4 years of experience in Application Support, System Administration, Software Quality Assurance, or DevOps. Proficient system administration skills in Linux (Windows experience is advantageous). Strong knowledge of MySQL and familiarity with Oracle or MongoDB. Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Grafana, or NewRelic. Comfort with automation and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) for troubleshooting and optimization. Effective communication skills in both Greek and English. A collaborative spirit and a commitment to knowledge sharing. This position may involve shift work and occasional international travel due to our global clientele.

Become a Key Player as a Senior Application Support Engineer at INTRALOT

Your Mission:
As a Senior Application Support Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring our applications run smoothly and reliably. You will tackle complex production challenges, contribute to system enhancements, and guide junior engineers. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and resolving production incidents at the 2nd level within established SLAs.

  • Conducting root cause analyses (RCA) to identify and address recurring issues.

  • Improving and optimizing our existing monitoring and alerting systems, including Nagios, Grafana, and NewRelic.

  • Partnering with cross-functional teams (Development, DevOps, and QA) to enhance system stability.

  • Reproducing incidents in testing environments and validating solutions prior to deployment.

  • Managing problem tracking and resolution to facilitate continuous service improvements.

  • Offering mentorship and technical assistance to junior team members.
