ABOUT THE ROLE As a pivotal member of our data team, you will significantly influence Current's growth trajectory by fulfilling the analytics and data science needs across various departments. Your expertise in constructing dimensional models, managing data warehouses, and developing transformation pipelines will be key to your success. In this role, you will collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and engineers to meet their data modeling and reporting requirements. You will also partner with the engineering team to create a robust data infrastructure and effective tools for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics. RESPONSIBILITIES Formulate and execute a strategy and roadmap for data warehousing and modeling. Develop core data models and data marts within the Data Warehouse. Design and implement data transformation pipelines, dimensional models, data marts, and aggregation layers using dbt, Airflow, and BigQuery. Create scalable and user-friendly data models that accommodate complex datasets. Utilize Looker as the primary tool for data reporting and analytics, building essential models to facilitate advanced data analysis. Engage closely with teams across Banking, Product, Marketing, Finance, Credit, and Risk to address their analytics and modeling needs. Collaborate with data engineers to establish data integrations and robust infrastructure. Develop a framework and processes for data reconciliation and quality assurance. Build and maintain trust in the data you and your team produce. ABOUT YOU 6+ years of experience as a data engineer or analytics engineer. Proven track record in implementing dimensional models and data marts in a data warehouse, having completed at least one full development cycle. Expertise in building data transformation pipelines and dimensional models using ETL or transformation tools (dbt preferred). Strong understanding of dimensional modeling principles to drive impactful analyses.
