The Streaming team is responsible for the comprehensive infrastructure that supports the video functionality for over 1.4 million Verkada cameras. We tackle intricate streaming challenges to deliver live and recorded video with unparalleled speed, reliability, and security. By persistently advancing our technology, we ensure that every video frame—whether live or archived—is readily available, seamlessly, and securely.
As a Senior Android Engineer on the Video Streaming team, your contributions will significantly influence how millions rely on video for their safety. You will take ownership of and enhance the streaming experience within our Android application, ensuring top-tier reliability and security standards.
In your role as an Android Engineer (Video Streaming), you will be pivotal in creating, optimizing, and scaling high-quality video playback experiences across Android devices. Your responsibilities will include achieving sub-second latency for live video, enhancing playback load times, and optimizing memory and CPU/GPU utilization.
