Role Overview: Senior Analytics Engineer

Based in London, the Senior Analytics Engineer will drive insights into product performance and create a single source of truth for key metrics. Working closely with product managers and data scientists, this role helps shape the direction of Checkout.com's products.

The position involves designing and launching new data products, with responsibility for the full lifecycle, from initial concept to implementation and ongoing operations.

What You'll Do

  • Build high-performance, reusable, and scalable data models for the data warehouse using dbt and Snowflake.
  • Design and develop Looker structures (explores, views, and more) to enable self-service analytics across the company.
  • Work with data analysts and business teams to understand needs and deliver analysis-ready data.
  • Continuously discover, transform, test, deploy, and document data sources and models.
  • Support and help define data warehouse governance, focusing on data quality, testing, documentation, coding best practices, and peer reviews.
  • Identify ways to improve and optimize analytics engineering workflows and platforms.
