Where do you fit in?
We are in search of a Senior Algorithm Engineer to join our Algorithmic Underwriting team. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between underwriting and algorithm development, creating machine learning-driven products that span over 25 business classes, including Commercial Properties, Oil Rigs, and Event Contingency insurance.
You will enhance our capability to assess individual risks effectively while simultaneously building a profitable and stable portfolio, all within a minute. Your responsibilities will include large-scale geospatial analysis to manage exposure to natural disasters, as well as pioneering low-data machine learning strategies for niche markets with limited claims data, such as Terrorism insurance. This role sits at the intersection of advanced technology and specialized insurance, allowing you to contribute to both fields.
Our multi-disciplinary team prides itself on being commercially driven, uniting deep expertise in specialty insurance with scalable machine learning development. We focus on delivering impactful features through a highly iterative and analytical approach, dedicating time to research and development both internally and in collaboration with academic institutions.
We prioritize the commercial outcomes of our algorithms, and value well-tested and maintainable code. Our algorithms are developed in Python, and our infrastructure is fully cloud-native, managed as code.
