About the job

EquipmentShare is seeking a Senior Accountant for its headquarters in Columbia, MO. This position centers on external financial reporting, with responsibility for preparing, reviewing, and filing financial statements in compliance with U. S. GAAP and SEC standards. The Senior Accountant works closely with accounting, FP&A, legal, and external audit teams to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and review SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements.
  • Draft and maintain financial statements, footnotes, and Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) disclosures.
  • Ensure all reporting aligns with U. S. GAAP, SEC requirements, and internal accounting policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Collaborate with accounting, legal, tax, and FP&A teams to support disclosures and filings.
  • Assist with earnings release support and tie-out of financial information.
  • Drive improvements to SEC reporting processes, documentation, and internal controls.

This role partners directly with the Chief Accounting Officer, VP Corporate Controller, and Financial Reporting Manager on strategic projects and initiatives.
