Strong technical skills with a commitment to leveraging technology in the workplace. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Familiarity with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. Excellent analytical and leadership skills. Ability to meet challenging client demands with strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

A renowned and growth-focused public accounting firm is actively seeking 10 Semi-Senior Accountants with a minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience to join our Assurance Services Department. We value excellence and ensure it is rewarded.

Ideal candidates will possess recent experience in public accounting, strong computer proficiency, and a solid background in financial statement preparation and review.

In this role, under direct supervision, the Assurance Services Senior Accountant will be tasked with performing audit reviews, compiling financial statements, and executing other responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, research, document, and effectively resolve technical accounting issues.
  • Guide and mentor team members involved in client engagements.
  • Consult with clients and provide expert assistance.
  • Maintain close communication with partners, managers, team members, and client personnel.
  • Record transactions in ledgers, prepare trial balances, and create basic financial statements using accounting software.
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Execute audit or review procedures as delegated by supervisors.
  • Prepare payroll, sales, and other local tax returns, including certain personal income tax returns.

Additional accounting, auditing, and tax duties may be assigned as needed.

This position may require occasional travel for client meetings, seminars, or other engagements, utilizing a personal vehicle.

Expect some overtime work throughout the year, particularly heavy overtime from January 1 to April 15, which may exceed 55 hours per week.

Working conditions are generally office-based with minimal hazards.
