This role involves designing effective strategies for organizing extensive sets of information in the realms of health and agricultural sciences.BackgroundThe Global South, particularly the African continent, is laden with vast amounts of unorganized paper-based data. Due to longstanding challenges in electrical and computer infrastructure, these handwritten records are not disappearing anytime soon. However, sectors such as health, agriculture, and education urgently require accurate data to enhance their programs amidst tightening budgets.At QED.ai, we are pioneering smart forms designed to digitally capture handwritten data on a national scale. We are particularly interested in attracting Library Science and Information Architecture students or graduates who are eager to tackle the challenge of structuring this expanding repository of information.Your contributions will be instrumental in developing intuitive tools for efficient data capture, as well as standardizing unique identifiers for specimens, patients, cards, pages, books, diseases, diagnoses, and treatments. This data will be crafted to be searchable, sortable, and linkable, enabling swift identification of trends and patterns. You will collaborate closely with end users to comprehend their needs and assist them in extracting pertinent information.Scope of WorkCollaborate in the co-design of data capture and management solutions tailored for our clients, incorporating questionnaire development, data element layout, visual appeal, specimen identifiers, workflow efficiency, and error-checking mechanisms.Craft logical queries for data extraction and transformation. Develop user-friendly dashboards that facilitate information discovery and decision-making.
