RESPONSIBILITIES:Enhance and innovate existing security detection mechanisms and automation frameworks to optimize the Security Operations Center's detection capabilities. Collaborate with stakeholders of high-risk systems to identify and prioritize gaps in detection. Investigate anomalous or suspicious activities as they arise during the detection engineering process. Take part in adversary emulation exercises to uncover detection blind spots. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:2+ years of professional experience in incident response, security operations, or security engineering; OR a bachelor’s degree in security engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, mathematics, or a related STEM field. Proficiency in modern programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Go, C++, or Rust. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Experience with Incident Response tasks or related areas.

SECURITY ENGINEER (BLUE TEAM)

As a pivotal member of our security operations team, you will help defend SpaceX against sophisticated adversaries intent on disrupting our cutting-edge technology. The environment you'll be working in is mission-critical, focused on launching rockets and controlling spacecraft. Your primary responsibility will be to develop tools and data delivery mechanisms that empower our team to detect and thwart these threats before they can impact our mission.

Your role will involve creating solutions to enhance visibility across our systems while ensuring that our internal tools are resilient and capable of maintaining high uptime for threat detection. You may also be tasked with automating workflows to accelerate the triage process for security detections, integrating new datasets, and assisting the Security Operations Center (SOC) in addressing visibility gaps during incidents.
