Join our dynamic Crisis and Security Consulting team in India as a Security Design & Engineering Consultant. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in various security-focused projects across the South-East Asia region, collaborating closely with Control Risks' design team to deliver high-quality design outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in weekly meetings with project stakeholders, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and documenting all relevant actions within our discipline.
- Provide security design consultancy across a spectrum of assignments, from straightforward requests to intricate projects.
- Prepare detailed design stage documents, including technical specifications, power load calculations, and tender evaluation reports.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in security technology.
- Complete all assigned projects within established timelines.
- Conduct onsite inspections and oversee testing and commissioning activities.
Candidate Requirements
- At least five (5) years of experience as a security professional or in a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD 2D, capable of producing design layouts that align with our internal standards.
- Strong understanding of design engineering principles.
- Demonstrated success in security design consultancy projects, ideally within Asia or comparable environments.
- Familiarity with all project design stages, particularly the RIBA design stages, including Conceptual Design, Developed Design, and Technical Design.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing integrated electronic security systems and physical security solutions, including:
- Video surveillance systems.
- Access control systems.
- Intruder detection systems.
- Intercommunications systems.
- Security barriers, gates, locks, and secure rooms.
- Experience in designing dedicated security equipment rooms and control rooms.
- Knowledge of creating secure security networks with considerations for bandwidth and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with well-known security management systems (e.g., Genetec, Gallagher).
Qualifications & Skills
- A degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Communications is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for presentations at all levels.
- Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
