Your Role as a Security Assurance Engineer

In this pivotal role, you will ensure that TrustFlight’s aviation software and services are secure, resilient, and trustworthy as we expand globally. This hands-on position focuses on developing and validating security controls that are effective in real-world applications.

Based in Canada, you will report directly to the CIO and collaborate closely with Platform, Infrastructure, and Application Engineering teams across various time zones. Your contributions will be essential in supporting TrustFlight’s compliance with regulatory, customer, and industry security standards while enabling rapid and safe operational agility.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage security solutions, controls, and necessary tools across platform, infrastructure, and application security.
  • Define, implement, and continuously validate security controls, ensuring their effectiveness in real-world scenarios.
  • Oversee the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) capabilities for effective security monitoring and assurance.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize security risks and control gaps, translating insights into actionable technical and operational improvements.
  • Utilize automation, including AI-assisted methods, to enhance security processes.
