Summary
The SDN/ODL Architect will be responsible for architecting and implementing innovative network designs utilizing Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) technologies. This role is crucial for enhancing network agility and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop SDN/NFV architectures to facilitate network evolution and future automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional DEV/OPS and product teams to incorporate automation and programmability into network development.
- Evaluate vendor solutions for centralized control, orchestration, and network virtualization.
- Recommend open-source and vendor solutions for SDN and NFV implementations.
- Document use cases and articulate the business value derived from SDN and NFV deployments.
- Prototype architectures to showcase conceptual operations and assess technical viability.
- Create design strategies for software and orchestration technologies supporting next-generation services.
- Analyze networking technologies and vendors to meet service requirements.
- Lead innovation by investigating, benchmarking, and implementing SDN and service orchestration technologies.
