With £3bn in revenue and a sales team of over 1,500 people in 20 countries, they are building a centralized Sales Strategy function to improve commercial productivity and territory management.
Role Overview
The Sales Strategy Manager joins the commercial organization to deliver analytical support and strategic guidance for a large, distributed sales force. This role works closely with the Chief Sales Officer and regional Managing Directors, leading projects that shape sales territory design, incentive programs, market focus, and commercial capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Lead projects to improve sales force effectiveness, including territory design and account prioritization frameworks.
- Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities across regions, channels, and product lines.
- Support annual sales planning, including target-setting, resource allocation, and incentive structure design.
- Work with Sales Enablement to turn strategic insights into practical training, tools, and process improvements for the field.
- Prepare commercial strategy updates for the Chief Sales Officer and Group CEO, covering competitive intelligence and market sizing.
Desired Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in sales strategy, commercial operations, or management consulting, with direct involvement in large sales organizations.
- Strong analytical skills, including building commercial models, interpreting sales data, and designing incentive programs.
- Excellent communicator, able to turn complex analysis into clear recommendations for sales leaders.
- Commercially minded, with a strong grasp of how large B2B sales organizations operate.
