Role overview
The Sales Engineer - Credit position supports prospects and customers during the pre-sales process. This role blends technical knowledge with a strong focus on customer needs, helping clients understand and implement Plaid’s products to address business challenges. Collaboration with the Enterprise Sales team is central, as the Sales Engineer acts as the technical lead throughout sales cycles and ensures a smooth transition to post-sale teams.
What you will do
- Serve as a technical advisor for prospects and customers evaluating Plaid’s Credit products
- Work with Account Executives to advance deals by answering technical questions and resolving objections
- Design and propose solutions tailored to client needs using Plaid’s product suite
- Support the transition from pre-sales to post-sale, collaborating with account teams to drive adoption of new products among existing clients
What helps in this role
- Background in the Fintech sector or strong knowledge of financial technology trends
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with sales teams and developing solutions that meet client requirements
- Comfort engaging with a wide range of clients, including large enterprises and financial institutions
