About the Role
Join our dynamic sales team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) specializing in the construction sector. We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic individual with a robust understanding of the construction industry, particularly in Division 9 (flooring, drywall, finishes) and Division 3 (concrete). Your primary focus will be on identifying, qualifying, and connecting with contractors to generate top-notch sales opportunities. You will leverage tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, Gong, and various dialers (including Nooks and Orum) to enhance outbound engagement and craft tailored outreach strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research to identify qualified prospects in the construction field.
- Engage in proactive outbound prospecting through calls and email sequences directed at contractors and key decision-makers.
- Assess and qualify accounts and contacts based on project scope, company size (10–50+ employees), and relevant decision-makers (CFO, CIO, CEO, estimators).
- Tailor and optimize email sequences to maximize engagement rates.
- Utilize HubSpot and Apollo for outreach, employing dialers like Nooks or Orum for streamlined communication.
- Analyze call reviews and pipeline activities to enhance performance continually.
- Perform data enrichment and cleaning to ensure record accuracy.
- Navigate challenges posed by clients with limited digital footprints (e.g., weak websites, minimal LinkedIn activity) by exploring alternative lead qualification methods.
- Collaborate effectively with the sales team to uncover multiple points of contact within organizations and enhance account penetration.
Requirements
- Experience in the construction industry, with a solid grasp of project costs and considerations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in cold calling, effectively engaging contractors and decision-makers.
- Excellent communication skills in English, encompassing reading, speaking, and writing.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a structured, process-oriented approach.
- Experience in account qualification and developing outreach strategies.
- Capability to manage and maintain clean prospect data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in sales with contractors in Division 9 or Division 3.
- Familiarity with SaaS or construction technology solutions.
- Proven track record of customizing outbound email sequences for improved response rates.
- Prior experience with tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, Orum, or Nooks.
