Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Manager to lead our Sales Development team. In this pivotal role, you will mentor and develop a group of enthusiastic and driven Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) tasked with generating a qualified pipeline for our sales organization. You will oversee their daily activities, enhance our prospecting strategies, and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align on strategic initiatives, messaging, and high-impact opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Sales Development Representatives by setting clear objectives, providing actionable feedback, and facilitating continuous skill enhancement.
- Develop a deep understanding of how Tailscale addresses genuine customer challenges, and equip your team to convey that value with clarity and assurance.
- Create, refine, and implement our prospecting playbook for both inbound and outbound channels.
- Enhance team performance through regular coaching sessions, call evaluations, pipeline assessments, and consistent operational rhythms.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, and Enablement to align on Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), improve lead quality, execute campaigns, and expedite pipeline generation.
- Own SDR performance metrics: monitor results, forecast pipeline creation, and utilize data to pinpoint opportunities for conversion enhancements.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop exceptional SDR talent, guiding them towards future roles as Account Executives or leaders at Tailscale.
- Promote an inclusive, collaborative, and energetic culture grounded in curiosity, accountability, and customer empathy.
- Represent the SDR team in cross-departmental planning and contribute to shaping our go-to-market strategy as we expand.
