Role overview
The Sales Development Representative acts as the first point of contact for many prospective clients. The main focus is on outbound prospecting and building a qualified sales pipeline through targeted outreach. Managing inbound leads is also part of the day-to-day work. Collaboration with finance and operations leaders is key, helping them understand how Campfire can support their workflows.
What you will do
- Develop a strong pipeline by conducting high-volume outbound prospecting through email, cold calls, and social media, with a focus on finance and operations leaders.
- Identify and engage decision-makers and key stakeholders within target accounts.
- Lead introductory and discovery calls to understand prospect needs and evaluate fit.
- Respond quickly to inbound inquiries and qualify meetings before handing them off to Account Executives.
- Maintain detailed records of activities and pipeline in HubSpot or Apollo.
- Work closely with Account Executives on messaging, prospecting strategies, and smooth lead handoffs.
- Continuously refine outbound messaging, targeting, and campaigns as Campfire continues to grow.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in Sales Development or a similar role.
- Comfort working in a startup environment and a strong interest in advancing to an Account Executive position.
