About the job

Join the Watney Robotics Team

At Watney Robotics, we are revolutionizing the future with our autonomous robots designed to enhance critical infrastructure. Recently, we secured $21 million in seed funding from Conviction, Abstract, and A*, allowing us to collaborate with some of the largest hyperscalers to expedite data center expansion and maintenance.

This is your chance to join a dynamic team with significant ownership and visibility as we transition from prototypes to full-scale production fleets. Be a part of our journey to deliver real systems, develop our rollout strategies, and make a lasting impact in the robotics industry.

Your Role

As a Robotics Technician, you will engage directly with state-of-the-art autonomous systems throughout their lifecycle—from prototype development to production deployment. Your responsibilities will go beyond traditional maintenance; you will be a key technical contributor who will:

  • Design, test, and refine robots for continuous operation

  • Diagnose and resolve intricate mechanical, electrical, and software challenges within autonomous systems

  • Establish diagnostic protocols and predictive maintenance strategies

  • Adjust and calibrate sensors, actuators, and control systems

  • Assist in field deployments and remote troubleshooting of systems globally

  • Document assembly and maintenance procedures as we grow

  • Collaborate on hardware design iterations informed by real-world performance feedback

  • Work in tandem with software and hardware teams to enhance robot functionality and reliability
